Recently had great success getting a fix with a TH500 Amp repair where both the amp stage and the PSU had faults although no circuit info was available it was possible to get a repair.
These popular amps consist of an ICEPower combined class-D amp and power supply module. The power supply powers the Aguilar pre amp PCB attached to the front panel. It is a simple design and should be reliable as long as ventiallated properly.
The modules are replaceable in the worst cases but are fairly expensive at around £250-300. However I have successfully repaired a few of these now so for some faults it is definitely possible.
The pre amp is a fairly simple circuit and should not give much trouble apart from damaged front panel items like pots jack sockets.
So if you are having trouble with a TH350 or TH500 or any of the aguilar amps for that matter don’t give up hope. You can arrange a repair either face to face or remotely as these are relatively cheap shipping.

hello, i’ve got a tonehammer 350 and it has a buzz whenever i play a note with strengh, intensity…is it bad you think? can i fiix that? thanks
It could be cabinet resonance causing something like a pot / switch from resonating; not that unusual. Very difficult to troubleshoot though – can you isolate it by applying something like an oven glove to the amp front panel/rear panel to dampen parts and see if you can isolate it? Failing that it is likely some internal circuit part resonating like a bad solder joint. Eventually it will get worse to be permenent but makes the amp seem undesirable to use in the mean time.
Hi, I have a TH 500 which died during a power surge. Please help me if you can.
If you are in the UK you can send it to me for repair. Just use the contact form on the website to get a slot.
If you are not in the UK any decent tech can fix these amps as in the worst case it is just a case of replacing the ICEpower Amp module which is not cheap part but probably 25% of replacing the amp.
