If you look closely you can see the problem
The cloth has disintegrated with either age, UV damage or both. The replacement Marshall “salt n pepper” cloth actually looks superior and should last a lot longer.
The below Marshall cloth was damp damaged. Replacement is very time consuming as getting the cloth pulled really tight takes some strength and technique but the end result is fantastic and makes the amp look like new.
